TERMS OF SERVICE
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of mekaninteriors.com.au and your purchase of products from Mekân Interiors ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Made-to-measure products
Our curtains and blinds are custom made to the measurements and specifications you provide in your order. Because each item is cut and sewn for your windows, made-to-measure products cannot be resold and we are unable to accept returns or cancellations for change of mind, incorrect colour selection, or incorrect measurements supplied by you. We strongly recommend ordering free fabric samples and following our measuring guide before purchasing.
3. Measurements
You are responsible for the accuracy of the measurements you supply. Items manufactured to the sizes you provide are not faulty if those sizes turn out to be incorrect. If a measuring error occurs, contact us. We offer a discounted remake so you only pay for the new fabric and manufacture.
4. Orders and cancellation
You may change or cancel an order at no cost any time before your fabric is cut. Once production has begun, the order is unique to you and can no longer be changed or cancelled. We may decline or refund an order where a pricing or technical error has occurred; we will notify you promptly if so.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payment is processed securely at checkout by Shopify Payments and its supported providers. Your order is confirmed when payment clears.
6. Delivery
Orders are made to measure in Australia with a typical lead time of 10-14 business days, then shipped with tracking. Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary for remote areas. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; title passes on payment in full.
7. Faults, remedies and warranty
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If an item arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, we will repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you. Please contact us with photos within 7 days of delivery. In addition, every order carries our 5-year workmanship warranty covering cutting, sewing and components; selected fabrics carry manufacturer warranties of up to 10 years. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, gradual fading from sun exposure, damage from incorrect installation, unapproved cleaning products, or misuse.
8. Trade accounts
Trade pricing is available to approved business customers by application. Trade pricing is linked to the approved account, applies when the account holder is signed in, may not be shared, and may be varied or withdrawn where we reasonably consider it is being misused.
9. Website content
We take care to display fabric colours accurately, but screens vary. Fabric samples are the authoritative colour reference. All content on this site, including images, text and branding, is owned by or licensed to Mekân Interiors and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and other than the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the resupply of the relevant goods or the refund of the amount paid for them.
